God is Your Healer
It was October 15, when the doctor called me. She let me know that my husband would need to be life-lighted to a larger hospital in Nashville, in hopes to give him a chance at living. It was one of the hardest days of my life, but the Lord had already spoken to my heart that he would live and not die, so I would not partner with anything other than his words to my heart.
After a few hours, they let me know his body sustained and he made it on the life flight. The long three and a half month process of his healing in the hospital began that day. During my daily visits to the hospital, to be bedside and make the hard decisions on his behalf, I began to watch the Great Physician do his work. I learned so much about the miraculous during these three months, and to be honest, I still am. One thing I have learned is that we never stop learning the ways of God, if we are open and willing to learn. I have seen God do instant miraculous healing, I have seen progressive healing, and I have seen many medical miracles, my son and my husband being two. Through this journey, I learned to never limit God in how he wants to heal.
If you read throughout the gospels, Jesus never healed the same way, and often his healings were very unconventional. Maybe you are in need of physical healing. Maybe your heart is broken and you need emotional or mental healing. Maybe you know someone that needs a healing touch from God. I want you to know, God is still in the miracle business. The same power that healed the sick 2000 years ago is alive and active today.
If you are reading this, I have already prayed for you. As I typed these words out I prayed that God would heal ANY or EVERY area of your life that needs his touch. I come into agreement with you for the miraculous to be an active part of your life. I have learned that when God does a miracle for you, it’s to be shared. I pray that as you walk in full healing, you would go and share his power and also see others healed.
Today, begin to thank God for his healing work in your life. You don’t have to jump through hoops to see him do a miracle, you just have to simply believe. And remember, he is faithful to do it. Keep believing, friend. We serve a God who heals, in every way.
Scripture for the day: Matthew 15:30- A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them ALL.
